Junior Data Analyst

Job Summary
CarbonRun is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst for a 4- or 8-month co-op term, starting summer 2026. The successful candidate will support data management, analysis, and visualization tasks across a range of environmental and hydrological projects. This role offers hands-on experience applying data science and geospatial analysis to real-world environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and clean environmental and hydrological data from various sources.
- Conduct quality control and data validation.
- Use R or Python for data analysis, visualization, and automation.
- Perform geospatial analysis and mapping using R/Python.
- Support development of reproducible workflows and data pipelines.
- Summarize results and prepare visuals for internal reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience or coursework in geospatial data processing (raster, vector, GIS tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Raven Hydrological Framework and PHREEQC are assets.
